Canadian artists speak out against Bill C-51

I just wanted to send along this open letter published in Maclean’s this morning, from Canadian artists concerned about how Bill C-51 attacks privacy, free expression, and the arts.

Signatories include authors Margaret Atwood, Thomas King, and Kathleen Winter; musicians Dan Mangan and Hayden; filmmakers Paul Haggis, Mark Achbar, and Brett Gaylor; and over 240 other artists from across the country!

The full list of signatories, and form for artists to continue signing on, can be found here:

If you are able, it would be great if you could share this with your networks. C-51 is shaping up to be a serious election issue, and we immensely appreciate all of your support to help keep this in the public spotlight. Oh – and don’t forget to use the hashtag #KillC51.
